February’s Meetings Notes

What a Great Meeting

Our last meeting was on February 10Th. I was the speaker this month at the meeting. Our topic this month was our 2010 Business Plan – Do you have one? We started by doing a SWOT analysis. This is where you figure out your:

Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats
We really enjoyed talking about our businesses and what was working for us each individually. With sharing our many different experiences we learn and grow from each other and can really build the relationships with each other because we spend the time to get to know each other. I also had a handout that was filled with pages of questions to fill in and ask yourself about your business. I also have a form in Excel to help keep you on budget. You can use this for your business or also for your own personal use.
If you would like copies of what we did at our meeting contact me and I will send you the information.
I thought each week I would show case one or two people that came to the meeting and let you know a little more about them.
This weeks showcase Woman is: Barb Greenberg
Barb is the author of the book – After the Ball, A Woman’s Tale of Reclaiming Happily Ever After
An inspiring New Gift Book for Women
Once upon a time there were two enchanting women named Cinderella and Snow White. Though life had dealt harshly with them, they remained tenderhearted. And by sweet happenstance, each fell in love and married a handsome prince. What happens next in After The Ball is a story that will resonate in the hearts of all women seeking to reconnect with their strength and power and wisdom.
I order one myself and can’t wait to read this story myself and share it with my daughter. It is a hardcover book, 112 pages with 7 beautiful art prints and sells for $16.95

November 18th Meeting – Key Speaker Information

On November 18th we will be having a very knowledgeable man coming and speaking on the subject of social media: This is a must come meeting! No matter what kind of business you have, big or small. He will be educating us on the top 4 places we should be utilizing and tips how to use them to your advantage.

Here is more information on our speaker Dave Meyers:

There are millions of social networks out there, and just as many ways to take advantage of the technologies available both personally and professionally. Dave Meyer, president of BizzyWeb and IABC Minnesota, will discuss how businesses can pick the best ways to get the word out on their companies and use the tools to generate leads and, ulitmately, sales. This is an introductory presentation on how to use the “Big 4″ in social media — Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Blogs — in the real world for business.
